The Electrical Engineering Department, formerly known as Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Department started with an intake of 60 students in the year 2010. The department has a class of young and dynamic faculties whose primary responsibilities includes not only imparting theoretical knowledge to the students but also helps them brushing up the doubts in every aspect so that the energetic population of the college does not lag behind any other engineers of the globe.
The undergraduate course primarily provides all the facilities for producing energetic engineers with sound knowledge in all the subjects such as electrical machines, power systems, instrumentation etc. including the elective papers with a strong background of practical knowledge relevant to the theory papers. The curriculum of the department is mainly oriented to cater the needs of IT- Industry, Software Controlled Heavy and Light Electrical and Power Systems. The students are assigned with a major project during the end semesters where they carry out the developmental work under the guidance /supervision of the prominent faculties.
The Department is also equipped with machines of advanced technology to give an overview of the practical scenario based on the thoretical knowledge gained as per the course curriculum.
