TPO of BBEC believes in creating professionals with a sense of integrity, awareness & excellence in industrial life after completing the formal education. We are committed to bridge the gap between these students and the industry outside their campus to be able to pursue their dreams. Apart from providing job and internship opportunities, TPO also offers guidance to students that help them to shape their career through various workshops and industrial tours. The foundation stone of BBEC was laid in 16t August 2008 by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Late Sri.Tarun Gogoi at Chandrapara, a village nearby Kokrajhar town. The first batch was started in 2010 with approval from All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi in two branch of Engineering namely Chemical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Later in 2018, two more departments namely Civil and Mechanical Engineering were added with the approval from AICTE under Assam Science Technical University, Guwahati.

BBEC Kokrajhar offers rigorous courses and vast exposure through multivariate extra- curricular and co-curricular activities like Centre for Extra-curricular Activities (CEA), Innovation and Incubation Centre Bineswar Brahma Engineering College (ICBBEC). Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), Smart Village Lab-Local Chapter (SLV-LC), Ideation Lab, Robotic, Photography etc. Besides, students are skilled with social engineering along with technical expertise.

In contemporary times, these students work in multi-faceted domains like on roles as scientists, designers, technologists, business managers, entrepreneurs, bureaucrats etc. BBEC has witnessed unprecedented success across various fields, not limited to engineering – even though it is quite young as compared to other state engineering colleges. Several alumni has transcended from their original disciplines to another fields of administrative services, active politics, NGOs, etc. BBEC are significantly contributed in nation building by giving its service to governments and society as bureaucrats, political leaders, entrepreneurs etc. Many of the alumni are at top institute like IIMS, lITs, NITs and foreign universities through overseas internship from the Director of Technical Education, Assam (Govt. of Assam). The students of BBEC have been critically acclaimed across borders; many alumni are holding positions in corporates, governments across the countries.

Students also undertake various interdisciplinary research and industrial projects under the guidance of the faculty and solving real time problems pertaining to core research and industry under Industrial Research and Development Centre, Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhar.
